Character name: Matthew Williams (Canada)
Age: 23
Gender: M
Height: 173 cm
Weight: 130 lbs
Appearance:
Personality:
Matthew Williams is known as a quiet, calm and shy young man. Actually, he is an enigma to many people in this world; some of them don’t even know he exists. Because of his ordinary and inconspicuous appearance, Matthew is hardly noticed or mistaken for someone else. That always make the poor guy quite depressed, but whenever he tries to make someone notice him, he mostly fails in that or he is soon forgotten. Besides, Matthew Williams is so shy that you seldom see him talk. He gives his opinion only when he is asked to do that. Most of the time, he sits in the corner quietly and looking like he's in the other world. That's why Matthew can't do anything about that. But nevertheless, he doesn't want to give up and is always ready to keep up the conversation when an opportunity occurs.
Unfortunately, poor Matthew has no human friends in his surroundings - everyone is too busy to talk to him. The only friend he has is a polar bear Kumajirou, so he spends all the time with him, even if the bear can't remember his master's name. Matthew often talks to Kumajirou and he believes that the bear answers him back. It is not known if it is true or not.
It is seen that Matthew likes to help the others very much. Because of the lack of communication with the other people he can do almost everything someone asks him. Also, Matthew is a good cook, so he likes to offer everyone to taste his dishes. Some people really do it and they always say they like it. Judging by this, everyone (well, everyone who knows Matthew) thinks of him as a cute young man who is nice to talk with. However, no one knows what is on Matthew's mind, so his personality is wrapped in mystery.

History: No one knows where and how Matthew was born. He was told that one day he was found in the center of the woods all wrapped in nappies and some kind people from the village nearby took him home and started to take care of him as the other son. He grew up surrounded by the nature everywhere and had everything he needed. He got on well with his "mother and father" and their son and couldn't complain about anything.
But by the time Matthew was fourteen years old everything has suddenly changed. Everyone forgot about him and laid all their love on his "brother", who was bright, cheerful, talented and much more active than poor Matthew. He had all the friends, love and money. Soon Matt was only known as "a colorless guy who was found in the woods" and was given only the basic things. He began to suffer from the lack of attention and communication. He looked like a complete outsider to everyone and to himself. He started becoming shy and suspicious to all the people he knew. Matthew was often alone every day, and he thought more than he talked through the day. Of course, Matthew felt miserable while leading this boring life, so at the age of seventeen he left home and started living on his own.
First, he didn't know where to go and he just went to the forest. He lived in such conditions many days, talking only with birds and animals and eating only wild plants and berries. This life was very simple but Matthew was quite happy about it and didn't want anything more. He sometimes missed his "brother" but soon Matthew forgot him as he forgot Matthew. He found another friend - a polar bear that lived alone near the forest and reminded Matthew of himself. He started to take care of this bear and called him Kumajirou.
Five months later, when winter was very near, Matthew started to think of his future life. He couldn't live like that anymore - he didn't know what to wear when the snow falls and what to get when it's too cold to pick fruit. Also, he nearly forgot how to talk. He needed people, and he needed them more than ever. So Matthew took Kumajirou with him, got out of the forest and found a small town near it where he soon bought a house. Even living in the town, he still didn't stop to visit the forest and thought of it like of his second home.
Sample Post:
This day Matthew Williams got up in the morning earlier than he usually did. He didn’t know why for sure, but he thought it all happened only because he went to sleep early yesterday. Or that was because the sun shined so bright that it could wake everyone. It didn’t surprise Matthew - spring was coming nearer and nearer, days were longer and longer and the snow was slowly melting. That always made the guy happy and excited - that meant leaves on the trees would soon grow. Of course, Matthew missed the snow and winter that time, but he realized that the seasons change whether you want it or not. Any season is good, even if there isn’t any snow. So the guy had always accepted the coming of spring and looked forward to it.
After Matthew had got up, he stood out from his bed immediately and went to the window to look outside. The street satisfied him – there were no snow storms or annoying rains, no darkness outside – just blue sky with beautiful white clouds. The yard of Matt was lit up with the sun, and the guy could easily see everything there. Although there was enough snow, everything started melting in some certain places. When Matthew opened the window, he heard the water dripping from the trees clearly. He held out his hand, and a drop of water sank on it. The guy smiled and turned around to see if Kumajirou was up. He wasn’t mistaken – the bear was sitting in the other room, so Matthew quickly ran there.
“Good morning! – he cried out loud. – Have you seen that spring is coming?”
His friend didn’t say a word, but turned his head to Matt as if he was listening to him.
“Isn’t that nice, Kumajirou? – continued Matthew. – Soon all the leaves on the trees will grow! The plants will grow too, and everything will become green! The days will become longer and brighter! And the roads will be clean and easy to go down! That means that we’ll be able to go to the forest again without any fear. Isn’t that nice?”
He smiled again and went to the kitchen, followed by Kumajirou. He opened one of his cupboards and pointed there. In the cupboard, there were only two small bottles with maple leafs on them. The rest of the cupboard was empty.
“And then, - said Matthew smiling, - we’ll be able to make more maple syrup! - He took one of the bottles. – There isn’t much left here, and it will last only the next two weeks or so. But then, the spring will come! Believe me, I know that!’
Matthew Williams went to the other cupboard, took two plates out of it and put them with the bottle on the table. He looked at Kumajirou and smiled.
‘And now, - he said, - how about having some pancakes with maple syrup for the coming spring?” – He looked outside. – Do you have something against it, Kumajirou?”
The bear said nothing, but it looked like he nodded to the blonde. The guy quickly made pancakes, and soon he was sitting near the window and eating his breakfast.
‘How I love such moments’, - he thought to himself. He had already made a plan in his head of things to do when the snow melts and before the summer comes. He wanted to make this spring a happy one and different from the ones he had seen before. ‘Maybe I’ll find a new friend soon’, - thought Matthew. – ‘I don’t want to be alone for ever. But anyway, who knows what will happen? I don’t want to look in the future yet. Let the spring come, and we will see’
The guy smiled again, stood out and went out from the kitchen. He wanted to go outside and feel all the charm of coming spring.
P.S. Sorry for the mistakes in the application. Unfortunately, English is not my native language. But I promise I will try to make it better and better!
