Canon Character Application
Character name: Natalia Arlovskaya (Republic of Belarus)
Age: 19 years old.
Gender: Female.
Height: 160cm (5’2”)
Weight: 112lbs (51kgs)
Appearance:
(Yeah, I'm taking the lazy option. c:)
Personality: Natalia is a complex young girl that gives off a seemingly constant intimidating air. She is harsh with her words and actions, recklessly challenging anyone who stands in her way without a second thought. A woman of very little words; she speaks only when necessary and often compresses her sentences to the simplest form of execution. Her almost painfully silent, ice-cool demeanour and endless patience capacity can have different effects on different people, ranging from terror to pity to mockery. She finds some kind of solace in the pain of others, carrying around at least one knife with her at all times, and will seldom give up on her ‘prey’ once she has decided on the target.
She has a big interest in the occult, actively participating in occultist events, although her magic skills are somewhat lacking. Still, that is not enough to put her off, and she is always searching for the deeper meaning in everything around her, even if her perspective is a slightly darker one compared to others. She prefers to keep these things as well as many other aspects of her lifestyle a secret from ‘outsiders’, and has, in a metaphorical sense, confined herself within a glass cage that very few people have the ability to penetrate.

- Agility; her slender and flexible physical form give her a great advantage when it comes to speed and evasiveness.
- Fighting with blades; she excels in close combat with throwing knifes and short blades, able to handle multiple at once with the highest efficiency.
Weaknesses: - Inconsiderateness; she holds little regard for the feelings of others and does not care what her words or actions will mean for the people around her.
- Physical strength; although her agility is more than up to par, when it comes to battle using only brute force, she could easily be overpowered and taken down by almost anyone.
- Stubbornness; when it comes to a battle she is set on winning, she refuses to give in even within an inch of her life, unless she is physically dragged away or passes out. She doesn’t seem to be aware of how much danger she puts herself in daily due to this obsession.
History: As a child of eleven years old, Natalia was tricked by her parents and abandoned by the entire family in a mass of snowy plains and left to fend for herself, or die. Although she was determined not to give in to her fears and weaknesses, to keep trudging on and survive, death seemed like the only escape for her after only a few weeks of starvation and fruitlessness. So, she simply lay down in the snow and stayed there for hours on end, waiting for her life to wither away.
During this time something inexplicably strange happened; something she swears to this day that is not by any means a lie or fabricated in any way. An epiphany of sorts, that gave her the power to carry on without faltering. She travelled to the nearest town in search of aid, only to find that none of the people there were very welcoming, instead shooing her away whenever she pleaded for help. However, this vision, or whatever it may have been, seemed to have induced some kind of depravity in her mind, as she slaughtered the majority of the residents of the town, and the people she could not get ran from her. She helped herself to their belongings and food, then left as if nothing had ever happened. By some stroke of luck, word of her mass murder did not spread as the town was rural and small in population, so the story simply stayed around the area as some kind of urban legend.
Natalia found her way into the real world after this, training herself vigorously until she was able to fend for herself easily, as if she had been possessed by something. By any means, she definitely was not the same girl she was before the ‘incident’, as she calls it now.
By the age of seventeen, she had found her way to a major city and had settled down, as well as considerably calmed down. She did not act violent or aggressive towards any others, preferring to simply stay out of their way and out of trouble. Despite this, she still continued to train every morning for hours and actively engaged in battle with monsters at the outskirts of town to keep herself in top form. What occurred on the day of the ‘incident’ is still very much a mystery to her, but she has lately begun to question whether she imagined it all inside her head and the epiphany was just a sign of insanity, although she tries not to think of things this way.
Sample Post: Things were quieter than most mornings. She wasn’t objecting to this in any way - if anything she should be rejoicing that she wouldn’t have to put up with the constant noise of the hustle-and-bustle that usually surrounded her - but it felt strangely… empty, and disheartening to walk along these familiar cobbled roads with hardly any living being in sight.
The young silver-haired girl cast her cold gaze downwards, as she made her way through the marketplace in the direction of the beaches. She had decided to break away from her normal routine of fighting off monsters in the forests, constantly inhaling the peculiar and faint scent of peppermint while wiping the sweat from her forehead and cleaning the blood from her newly acquired wounds, instead opting to spend her morning watching the sunrise in peace.
The ocean had never really been on of her favourite places, but she’d heard that it did wonders to relax people, and that was what she needed the most right now. Lately, it was as if he brain was refusing to let her think straight, which was in turn affecting her sleep and fighting patterns. That would just not do at all.
Now she was almost there, and more sign of life were beginning to appear from their doorsteps. A group of small children running after what looked like a soaked kitten sped past her, leaving soft trails of laughter behind them. A pair of housewives stood at the side of the streets and whispered to each other avidly, presumably trading gossip and the like. All of a sudden the wind picked up, and Natalia regretted the decision to come outside dressed so scantily. She sighed softly and closed her eyes, failing to notice the young man walking towards her directly in her path.
They collided, and she blinked a few times, startled.
Her cool glare met with his gaze and she pursed her lips tightly, as if that alone would disintegrate the man before her eyes. “I do believe an apology is at hand,” she said icily, crossing her arms across her chest whilst eyeing the man carefully.
He chuckled and waved her off without a word, even having the nerve to brush his shoulder against hers on his way. Natalia gaped for a few moments, and considered confronting the man to show him what happened when he disregarded her attempt at being polite - because she was being polite - before ultimately coming to the conclusion that it purely wasn’t worth it.
Giving a hardly visible shake of her head, she began walking once again with balled fists and an even sterner glower plastered across her pale features.
(Well, I’m almost 99.9% sure there’s going to be something wrong with this. I wasn’t really sure whether family relations were supposed to stay the same since people have different rules for different AUs, so I left out any mention of her having siblings. Tell me if you want me to change that. ;3; Also, B-B-Buritannia Beamu!~)[/size]
