Canon Character Application
Character name: Lovino Vargas (South Italy)
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 140 lbs
Appearance:
Personality: Honestly, there is only one word in the entirety of any language that can be used to describe Lovino - DIFFICULT. It's actually difficult to tell if he attempts to be as difficult as possible on purpose or is just so stupid that it comes naturally to make everything difficult.
Lovino is an angry sort of person, prone to snapping at people and getting easily irritated rather than trying to talk things out. He has a foul mouth and is never hesitant to ream someone out the moment they seem to be acting stupid.
On the other end of things, Lovino is also a coward, a crybaby, and a goof. He has a tendency to do stupid things without meaning to and then becoming severely upset when people point out to him that he's doing these things. He then proceeds to a knee-jerk reaction of insulting them to try and make sure they forget that he's done something stupid.
None of this applies when Lovino is talking to anything female, though. Because you just don't treat a woman like that. He is very cordial to women and treats them with the respect that any lady deserves.
Also, Lovino is quite religious. He always puts forth an effort to pray to his God and pay devotions to him. Though, he does sometimes forget...

Pick-pocketing -- Lovino is very adept with using his hands. He can easily sneak something off of someone without their ever noticing and then proceed to insult them for being too stupid to notice he was there.
Insulting -- Lovino's insults are many, varied, and always original and creative. When he's not feeling lazy...
Loyal -- It may not seem like it, but once you've earned Lovino's trust, you've earned it forever. He was stick to you like glue unless you blatantly betray him.
Weaknesses:
Inferiority Complex -- One of Lovino's biggest weaknesses is that he feels inferior to everyone, especially his brother, who everyone seems to like more than him.
Physically -- Lovino's not strong. That's why he sneaks around and picks pockets rather than fighting people. He's good at hiding and running away too.
Coward -- He is more prone to run away rather than stand and fight. Even when someone he cares about is at stake, he's quicker to save his own hide.
History:
Lovino's parents died when he was very young. He doesn't really remember them, actually, which is difficult for him because he remembers - at the very least - loving his mother very deeply. Instead, he and his younger brother were left to be raised by their grandfather, who showed blatant favoritism towards his younger grandson.
Needless to say, Lovino didn't like the special treatment his brother got all the time. And so, when he was old enough to realize that he could actually go somewhere where his grandfather and brother were NOT, he ran away from home.
Of course, he was only ten at the time, and soon found himself crawling back home crying, only to receive a confused look and a question of "were you gone somewhere?" when he expressed missing his family. Miffed beyond reason, he attempted to run away once a week every week from then on.
It was when he was fifteen that he actually managed the feat and hasn't returned home since. Instead, he discovered his natural affinity for picking pockets and began to make his living off of this talent. Really, his life hasn't amounted to much as of yet, but he doesn't mind too much. So long as no one points it out...
Or is more successful than him... >_<;
Sample Post:
A smirk flitted across the face of the usually grim-featured pick-pocket as he held up his latest prize. It was a rather hefty coin purse, and he was proud of himself for having managed to procure it from such a heavily-guarded man. (And by heavily-guarded, he meant that the man had a sword...) He tossed the purse in the air and attempted to catch it again, but it only proceeded to tumble to the ground and spill all over the dirt in front of him.
In a frantic attempt to make sure no one saw his prize, Lovino dropped to his knees and started scooping the money back into the bag. It was only when someone tapped him on the shoulder that he paid any attention to what was going on around him again.
"Fuck off, bastard, this is my money, so keep your hands o--" It was at this point that he looked up and saw a constable standing there, along with the man he had just stolen the purse from, who was looking more than a little displeased.
It only took five seconds for Lovino to run across the entire plaza.
But he lost his profit in the interim...
((... Britannia beam? XD))
