The sun was a reddish-orange color as it kissed the horizon and made room for the night to settle in, slowly bidding farewell to the earth. Few visitors were there at that time; most were only passing through.
Faustine ran down the cobblestone road and into the open plaza. She stopped and sat down on a bench, panting. "I... Knew I could... Beat that squirrel!" She laughed and grinned from her triumph. "Hmmm. Where am I now?" She scratched the back of her head, combing her fingers through her messy brown hair. She looked around, unfamiliar with her surroundings. Suddenly, something in the middle of the plaza caught her eye. Ooooh. A fountain! Faustine got up and walked over to the fountain, her green eyes filled with joy. She looked down into the water at the bottom, which was filled with coins. It's a wishing fountain! She sat on the edge of the fountain and turned to look down at her reflection, which had small ripples in it from the small streams of water.
"Ah! I have coins in my wallet I can use." Faustine fished the wallet out of the pocket of her black slacks and opened it. What coin to toss in? That one's too shiny... That one's too big... I won this one in a race... I like that one's color... Ah! Here we go! She took an old, blue button and threw it into the fountain. I wish I had friends... She looked down into the water sadly.

Seraphine was on one of her walking whims that time. She had a parasol in her hand and she was humming a small tune as she walked. After did she hum that small tune did she realize that she was in the plaza. She hadn't been here in a while ever since she met Diran anf the others. She wished that she didn't bump into any more people while she was there. As it seemed, it looked like everytime she took a stroll, it would only get interrupted. But as she left the sun finally about to rest for the day and let the moon take over, she smiled her brightest and for some uncanny reason, opened her parasol; thinking it would only make her look good.
Something caught her attention. The sounds of splashing water. Seraphine walked a bit faster as she felt a new presence by the fountain. She didn't want this stroll to get interrupted and so she tried to avoid approaching near the fountain. But there was something about that presence that she needed to check out. It was as if there was something pulling her in and closer to the fountain. And according to the books she read, sometimes she needed to follow what she felt as somethings would sometimes turn out to be something new.
As she was approaching now, she saw a young brunette standing by the fountain with a big grin acorss her face as if she was waiting for something to happen. "What's she so happy about?" Seraphine thought as she tried to avoid to approach the girl. However, she just suddenly found herself now approaching her. Seraphine hated herself for doing this. All she ever wanted was an undisrupted walk! How hard could that be??
"Excuze-moi mademoiselle, are you new here?" Seraphine made conversation as she was now nearing the brunette. Well, she couldn't do anything now right? If she was going to approach the girl, she might as well talk to her right? Now she was hoping she had caught her attention.

The sun had now disappeared and the lampposts were turned on, lighting the plaza light giant fireflies. The quiet murmur of water entranced the girl, making her stare at the fountain while her hands were automatically moving on their own. Faustine rolled up the sleeves of her white button-up blouse and suddenly became aware that someone was standing next to her.
Faustine turned to face the stranger with first a blank look in her eyes, but then she regained her joy when she saw the woman. "Ah! That was a fast answer to my wish." She said to herself and smiled at the girl. "Yes, I'm a bit lost at the moment. I'm not sure where I am, but this place seems nice. The name's Faustine! And how about yours?" She was a bit nervous as she spoke, trying to find the right words as not to offend the potential new friend. Faustine stared at the parasol in the girl's hand. She must think it might rain, going out at night with an umbrella. I guess it never hurts to be prepared... But I wonder why she has it open already? She absent-mindedly looked up and turned a palm towards the sky, looking to see if there was even a drizzle. No raindrops on her eyeglasses, none on her hands or face. Eh? It's not raining?

"Seriously, I go out to explore this new town and I end up getting lost here. Vash mumbled to himself as he walked the streets of the plaza. After finally settling in, he decided to explore this place and after wandering off on his own trying to avoid the afternoon rush and crowds, he finds himself in the plaza of all places. He hadn't seen this place before thus he decided to try and see if he can find his way back to the residential district.
There weren't much people at this hour. Though the ones that he saw on the streets were those people who would trick you into things. Vash knew better. He avoided them as much as possible and with his hands in his pockets, just kept on walking. Yet something caught his attention, a young girl walking through the plaza with an open parasol in hand.
"Must be raining..." Vash thought as he looked up at the sky. No signs of rain clouds whatsoever. He was a bit puzzled why the girl had her parasol open. V ash glanced back at the girl to see her walking as she knew the plaza like the palm of her hand. He followed her careful not to startle her. He stayed a few blocks back still following her at a range far enough from him. He followed her to the center of the plaza where he saw her chatting with another girl. The brunette had that smile across her face and Vash didn't know what relationship they had. Well, they seemed like the type of people who could help him. He then started to approach the two girls.
"Uhm..." he mumbled as he approached the girls. The closest one to him was the one with the parasol in hand. "Does anyone of you know where the residential district is?" he asked them.

"I...I was.... a.... a.... a wish!?" Seraphine mumbled in her train of thoughts as she heard the brunette stated. It was now dark and the brunette's smile could still be seen smothered across her face. Still, Seraphine was still wondering whether if her wish was the force that brought her here. Seraphine now closed her parasol and held it still on the ground as both of her hands were ontop one another. She need not to be rude and now, knowing that there was something playing against her, it was no use but to be ticked off naturally.
"Tell me, Faustine, w- did you wish here?" Seraphine quickly changed her question as she felt a presence approaching them. She felt this presence earlier this day and disregarded it. And now it was back. The voice seemed to be of a man's and Seraphine quickly turned around to find herself face-to-face with the man who spoke. He seemed to be no older than his twenties and he wasn't taller than her in a bit. Maybe an inch or less. Seraphine felt a slight blush as she had never been this close to a boy before. Surely, not someone like him.
"I was about to go there... Until I came across this girl." Seraphine glanced at Faustine as she said the word girl. She stepped back a bit to give some space to the new comer and to save her reputation. She didn't want rumors to be going around that she was flirting with some guy. She sat down on the ledge of the fountain fixed herself up. "The name's Seraphine Grimaldi. Tell me, are you both new here?" she asked as she put on a bright smile on her face.

Faustine looked up at the newcomer and blinked. "Wow. That wish was really effective!" She grinned. "My wish? Ah. I wished for a friend. I never really thought I'd find two so fast. Hehehe~" She scratched the back of her head and laughed.
"If it was so effective, I wonder what would have happened if I had actually tossed a coin in..." She spoke softly to herself again. She'd been lost for so long she hadn't had the pleasure of human company for some time now. She looked at both of them, her eyes gleaming with joy. She stood up and looked at Seraphine. "Seraphine... That's a nice name... I just happened to stumble unto this town when I was racing a squirrel."
She looked at the both of them and made a quick observation, which devastated her. These two are both taller than me! Ah... Seraphine doesn't look older than me, yet she's at least two inches taller than I am... Faustine felt herself shrink in her shoes. Eeeeee... I feel so small.

"Tossed a coin in? Effective? A wish?! What the hell is going on here?" Vash asked as he made some recaps on what the two girls said. Of course, the blonde seemed to know what was going on. He face gave the answer right away. He saw right through her in that moment and sometimes, it made him ponder why there was such a person in a bad mood whenever he was around. Was it him that made the people so angry at times? The blonde named herself as Seraphine while she called the brunette Faustine. Nice names. It sure did beat the hell out of Vash. The blonde stepped away from him for a while. Vash noticed a slight blush forming on the blonde's cheeks. Seeing this made him a bit shy towards the blonde and felt his cheeks heat up a bit. Wait! Did Seraphine mention she was on her way to the residential district? When he was about to speak, the blonde asked a question.
"Yeah. I'm new here in town. My name's Vash Zwingli." Vash answered in a formal way as not to oppose or make a bad impression towards the two girls. He felt the brunette look at them. She was a tad bit shorter than him and Seraphine and Vash felt that she was sorta shrinking. Vash just looked down on the girl called Faustine and gazed back towards Seraphine. His cheeks started to heat up again. There was something about this girl that he couldn't understand.

"Pleased to meet you Vash, you too Faustine." Seraphine had remembered the brunette standing there with that smile plastered across her face. So the blonde was new in town then? How interesting. Seraphine noticed that he seemed sient and calm and at times, he would really explode himself up. Had she seen him before then? Maybe he was the one who was moving into town then. Seraphine graced her presence with a smile as a hand of hers played in the water. No one was around at this hour, how peculiar. Except maybe for those in the side trying to listen to their conversation.
SO far, none of the two new comers had disappointed her. Seraphine had jusged them at first. Especially the Faustine girl. Remembering that she was brought here by a presence only to find out later that it was a wish did seem to tick her off somehow. Life had its plans for people. Maybe this was one for her. She noticed a slight blush on Vash's cheeks. She had found him a bit cute that way. Wait, he was looking at her and blushing? What was going on now? Seraphine couldn't think straight now.
And for the time being here, they were all silent. No one had bothered to come out today. Well, it was night and as every second passed, it was getting darker and darker. Dare did Seraphine pray that the people in her household would not start to panic when she did not return in the next hour or so. "So, how have you liked the town so far? You see, I'm not yet used to this town as of yet. But I feel so at home here." Seraphine asked.

"Same to you.. Hehehe." Faustine yawned and stretched, nearly falling into the fountain. "Eeek!" She squealed and propped herself back up before she touched the water.
She brushed off her pants and coughed. "...No one saw that." She chuckled a bit. "I've only been here about an hour and I like it! Mind showing us around? This place seems interesting..." She smiled at Seraphine and noticed something.
She looked back and forth between her two companions. They were both blushing a bit. "Are you guys feeling okay? You both look like you have fevers when you look at each other..." She blinked, wondering why her cheeks never got hot when she looked at either one of them.

"Nonesense!!" Seraphine said in a tone that was a little louder than expected. Sure this guy who was with them right now was attractive, but that did not leave the thought in her mind that it could be them. Seraphine thought about the offer that the new girl was offering. A tour around the town would be nice. But right now, Seraphine had something important in mind. She was in a hurry now. Looking at the sky to check what part of the day is it already, she would have to return to her mansion soon and make sure some things were already put out to safety.
"I am sorry. I must decline you both. I have some important matters to attend to at the moment. Maybe some other time." Seraphine closed the parasol that was open as she averted her gaze to around the plaza. It was sure getting late by the second and she was really in hurry. Pointing to the direction of the residential district, she made sure that both of them understood that she was in a hurry. And without any, Seraphine left the scene leaving the two new comers at the fountain.
